HVS, the leading international hotel consultancy, has just published its latest report on African Hotel Valuations. Seychelles has topped the chart again with an average valuation of USD 522,000 per room in 2013. HVS cites the honour on the back of exceptional quality of product as well as relatively high barriers to entry and the established reputation of the market as a luxury leisure destination. The African average for 2013 was USD 259,265.
Others factors underpinning the strong position are the stability of the country, a strong economic reform program and continued strong growth in tourist arrivals.
